Ryu almost has a haircut as ugly as Bosch. Seriously, there's nothing much to say about him. He's the typical nice hero who wants to help people and discover a source of fresh, clean air. He is, of course, good with swords and has quite a few interesting skills. As it is the case in every Breath of Fire game, he can morph into a more powerful dragon form and literally destroy everything. However, using this form will cause your D-Counter to increase, which is further described in the General Information page. You may also learn more about him through the SOL scenes (obviously, as the SOL system tells more about EVERYONE) if you plan on playing through the game several times.
