Shops
SHOPS:
Shopping on Beyond the Beyond has a few peculiarities that ought to be explained. The shopping menu will look like the one below.
- Buying items back: in this game, if you sell an item which no shop normally provides, like a Source of Life, you will be able to buy the item back from any shop around the world afterwards. Only the amount you sold will be available though. And, the most important, this only works with items (not equipments) and on item shops; that is, if you sell your Mystic Blade, even it being a unique item, you won't be able to retrieve it.
- Repairing Items: there are some non-expandable items which can crack after a random number of uses, like the Angel Ocarina. If you take them to any shop, they can get repaired through the "Repair" option, so you can use the items again for another random number of times. There's no limit to repairing, but if you try to use an item when it's cracked, it will break for good, and it'll be gone.
- Price ratios: every game has its price ratios. In this one, it works as follows:
- the sell price of an item will always be 3/4 (.75) of its buying price;
- similarly, the buying price of a unique item that was sold will be 4/3 (1.33) of the price you got for it;
- reapiring items costs 1/3 (.33) of it's full price.
