Description:
You start the game and are taken to the Peronality Test. You will be asked questions to determine what the Hero's personailty, and thus how he/she will grow. Afterward your mother take you to see the king. He will tell you of your hertitage and give you 50G and tell you to seek companions in Ruida's Tavern. You can take the ones created by default (a Warrior, Cleric, and Mage) or create your own. If you want ideas for parties, go here. After that, leave the town and start getting in battles. You don't want to cross the bridge yet since the enemies over there will be too tough for you, so just stay around the castle until you get to level 3. Buy armor and weapons for your party as you can afford it. Don't worry too much about equipment since the next town has better stuff, but buy enough so that you can face tougher enemies without them being a big threat. If you want to level your Hero a bit, leave the other party members at Ruida's Tavern and fight alone. If you are hurt, you can go to your house and speak with your mother to heal for free instead of staying at the inn. Once you reach level 3, you can head to Reeve in the North and across the bridge. Dragon Warrior 3 is an old style RPG, which means you'll be doing LOTS of leveling. If you get stuck on a part, most likely you need to level some more. At this point in the game it is still fine to change your party members and test out different possibilities. If you don't like you party, feel free to change it now.
