Introduction/Salyan Desert

Before we start journeying in to the wonderfully rich world of Lunar, we need to set up some basic strategies. One, save often! I shouldn't have to say this one, but please do. It will save you alot of headaches if you lose a fight and haven't saved in a while. Second, talk to everyone more than once and at different times. The majority of Lunar's text occurs after you talk to someone for the first time. Third, you will like Lunar much more if you take your time and exploit the game ( in other words, enjoy it!) compared to rushing through the game to beat it. Now, let us begin our fabulous journey. Oh! Please note that in this walkthrough, the words 'You' and 'Hiro' are interchangable. Enjoy! (^_^)

In addition, you will come across animiated character pics as you read this walkthrough. They denote who is in your party at the time. For example, in the first section, the journey begins, you see Hiro (Ruby is always present except one VERY short storyline instance in near the end of the game, so assume she is in your party at all times). This lets you know that just Hiro is in your party. However, you will only see them if your party changes for some reason. So until your party changes, you won't always see them.
You will also find that each Boss is pictured when you encounter it, along with all the stats for quick reference. The enemies are not since there are so damn many of them.
Two last things, Silver is the currency in Lunar. So if you see something like 800 S, the S means Silver because I am too lazy to type the entire word out. Also, if you get lost, just head to the Maps Section of the shrine. (^_^)

The Adventure Begins...

The game starts off on the Blue Star and a wonderful intro movie and then a brief bit of talking by Lucia as she has a horrid vision of Lunar's destruction. After enjoying the nifty opening sequence, the scene shifts to Hiro and Ruby inside the Dragon Ruins obtaining the Right Sapphire Jewel from a Dragon Head statue. After taking the Jewel, a trap goes off and another intro takes place as Hiro and Ruby escape the Ruins while being chased by some Fire Elementals.

Once they make it outside, you can now finally control the group. My advice would be to immediately save since the intro stuff is upwards of 15 minutes and if you get unlucky, you'll have to watch it all over again (which can suck when you just wanna play ^^). So, since there's nothing you want to do here (or can do for that matter), walk out of the area by heading south into the Salyan Desert area. Continue walking South on the overworld map until you enter East Desert Pass.

You now find yourself in the North half of the pass. Simply follow the path around to the South, using the Goddess Statue to restore your HP & MP if needed. Once you reach the final turn heading South in the North part of the pass, you'll meet White Knight Leo who pulls up in the Dragonship Destiny in another movie sequence. After a short conversation, Leo leaves for Gywn's House of all places. Once Leo leaves, you decide to to head home to see what's going on. So continue along the path and enter the South half of the Pass.
When you enter the South side of the Pass, stick as far to the left as you can to collect an Herb from a chest. Then head back up and around and follow the path. Also be sure to walk northwest of the exit to nab 100 S from another chest. Hopefully by the time you leave this area, Hiro will be Level 7 enabling his Poe Sword attack. Once you get to Level 7, exit the Pass onto the Overworld Map.
