Cheat
Cheaters never prosper. Is that what they told you? Well, I'm here to tell you otherwise. In the Playstation 2 version of Ys VI, cheaters prosper quite a great deal. The most important advantage is never having to see those terrible CGI animations. How do you go about doing this? Read on.
How to Cheat |
Cheating in Ys VI isn't nearly as hard as it is in some games. At the title screen, simply select "New Game," and "Cheat" is one of the options given to you, as shown on the left. Seems easy enough. Keep in mind before cheating, however, that you can't take it back without starting a new game, and it brands your save file with the red mark of the cheater... or, more realistically, the red mark of the person who can't stand watching those CG animations anymore.
When you select "Cheat" from the menu in the previous screen, you appear in this room, shown to the right. This may come as a shock to you, as you don't know who you are, where you are, or why you have a sword. Don't worry about that for now, and let's just take care of the cheating.
This is what the cheat room consists of. Three colored gems, and a red circle in the middle. In order to cheat, simply hit the gems in a particular order, and then do a downward thrust (as immortalized by Link) into the red circle in the middle of the arena.
As you slash the gems, icons appear in the top left to show what you've already hit. When the code you're trying to enter is showing in the top left, it's time to perform your downward thrust, as shown in the image on the right.
