Chris Chapter 2
You can do some shopping and training if you want. Chris can also stop by at Budehuc Castle to start recruiting people. When you're done, head to Brass Castle.
Nothing of interest here, and the monster fights will probably be boring
Go up to the conference room (the double doors) to let Salome know that you're back. Afterwards, go to Chris' room and rest. That evening, Chris, Borus, Percival, Leo, Roland, Salome, and Louis will hold a conference. Chris explains the mission to the other five knights on the attack on Great Hollow to show how powerful Zexen is. When you regain control of Chris the next morning, upgrade Chris and the others' skills if you need to, speak with Salome, and give the attack order.
You start this fight with Chris, Leo, Roland, Salome, and another unit leading an attack on Great Hollow from the front. Two Lizard units appear to block you off. Chris and Leo are easily the strongest units at this point, and you should have very little trouble with the lizards using Chris, Leo, and Zexen knights. A turn later, Dupa, Shiba, and Bazba appear with Lizard Clan reinforcements. Keep pressing an attack with your units and don't get surrounded, but make sure Chris' Unit isn't defeated, or you'll be defeated. Karayan fighters, led by Lucia and Beecham, will also appear from Great Hollow and attack you. After all of this, though, Percival and Borus appear on either side of Great Hollow with Zexen infantry. While they're not as strong as knights, they'll definitely be helpful. Since you only need to destroy five units, you can be picky about it, but Chris or Borus can easily defeat most of the units on the battlefield.
Chris and the other five knights ride their horses to the entrance to Great Hollow to see Lizards battling Zexens. Join the fight and defeat two groups of enemies. Once you do this, Shiba will appear. Battle him, and once he retreats, the two sides will pull back. Watch the angry dialogue between Chris and Lucia. If you select "Stop these lies!" and answer yes to her offer to a duel, Chris will duel with Lucia. See the duel section if you need help. After the battle, the Zexens pull back, due to the advancing Harmonian army. Duel: Chris vs. Lucia This battle is a tad harder than you may think. Lucia's deathblows can be brutal if you don't defend. Her attacks are pretty strong, too. See the Duels section for help with this battle if you need it.
Head to the left side of the town, and you'll see Salome, who has just received a message from the Zexen Council. Salome suspects that the Council used the attack on the Lizard Clan as bait for a Harmonian attack. Chris decides to confront the Council, and sets off with Louis for Vinay del Zexay.
When you enter the Zexen Forest, Chris will start to feel ill. Toward the end, she will faint.
When Chris wakes up in Brass Castle, she'll see Leo, Roland, Borus, and Percival standing over her. Watch the humorous dialogue, and then accept Percival's invitation to the Iksay Festival.
Nothing out of the ordinary here.
Once you regain control of Chris, there are a number of things to do here. If you want, upgrade your weapon and buy some supplies. You also might see Watari standing in an alleyway on the right side of the village. If you talk to him, and if you have the money, you can recruit him for 100,000 potch. Then, do as Percival suggested and go to the Windmill in Iksay. A brief scene follows, and a man called Nash introduces himself to Chris. Answer his questions however you want. Eventually, Lizards and Karayans will attack the village and set it on fire.
Nash joins your party at this point, and he is a ranged fighter. Go into the village and defeat two groups of Grasslanders. Shiba will appear again; you'll need to defeat him too. After the victory, heal Chris and Nash, and run back to the Windmill. Jimba shows up and hints to Chris that he knows something about Wyatt Lightfellow, Chris' father. After this, you'll duel with Jimba Duel: Chris vs. Jimba This battle is fairly easy, but Jimba can sometimes be fast, so be on your guard.
After the duel, Jimba tells Lucia that the Flame Champion knows about Chris' father. Shortly after, a Lizard fighter runs up to Jimba and says to him that, because the rest of the Six Knights are approaching, the Zexens may have reinforcements. With this information, the Grasslanders retreat. Nash disappears, but the rest of the knights join you. Now, if you want, there are some optional (and very helpful) things you can do before progressing in the story.
First, go to Budehuc Castle and speak to Watari in the cellar to trigger a flashback. Next, go to the Inn and add Watari to your party. Third, go to the end of the North Cavern to find Ayame. Duel: Watari vs. Ayame You should be able to defeat Ayame without breaking a sweat. Again, see the Duels section for more help.
Once you get back, go to your room and tell Louis that you're ready to turn in. In the middle of the night, Chris speaks to Salome about going to search for the Flame Champion to find her father. Return to Chris' room to hear a knocking sound. Chris checks behind the bookcase to find, out of all people; Nash! He offers himself as a guide into Grassland. Chris changes into less conspicuous clothes, and Chris and Nash depart through the hidden exit.
This is a straightforward area; there's not much to say.
There will be a scene where the other five knights watch Chris and Nash leave for Grassland, and the chapter will end. |
