Now that the side quests are complete, you are set to pursue your next endeavor: The Captain Dragon.  Make sure you are in Piranha-man form and go through the door under Shop #1 in town.  Jump in the well and keep heading to the right into the tropical area.  Move over the first water area, kill the red snakes and red lobsters and immediately fall into the water.  You should sink to an area with breakable blocks as shown in the picture to the right.  Break the blocks and swim to the next screen below.







The next area is filled with blue fire octopus and ropers.  Kill them as you have done in the past.  The lucky sword should dispatch them in one strike.  As you continue on the path, you will encounter falling blocks moving up and down.  Dodge them and continue on by swimming up to the top of the screen.  The next screen has two blue fire octopus guarding the area.  You will want to swim to the left first (as shown) if you need to fill any hearts.  Otherwise, head to the right past the other blue fire octopus.







You will come up on an upside down ship with a door toward the back.  Forget it for now and head all the way to the right side of the screen, killing the blue giant fish along the way.  Head down the well you see at the farthest point.  You will encounter another set of falling blocks at the bottom of the well.  Make your way carefully through them going left.  Eventually you will come to a door containing a chest that has your 5th heart container!  After you get it, head back to the upside down sunken ship and swim up to the upside down door you saw earlier.  Just push up again as Wonder Boy is in front of the door and it should open like any other door.





Once inside the ship, you will encounter shadow-men and faerie zombies.  You will have to tread carefully because the shadow men come out of the floor unexpectedly.  The green ones will shoot fireballs at you and take two hits to kill, so face them quickly to block the fireball with your shield and attack.  Continue down the path only way you can, killing enemies along the way.  You will reach another upside down door past another set of annoying falling blocks.  Go through and you will face green cyclops that can take a beating.  Hit them as many times as you can before they can counter-attack with fireballs  Be careful because they will take a full heart container of life from you each hit!








After you get through the cyclops area, keep walking right and you will encounter more shadow-men and fire stones.  Move through this area quickly to avoid more damage than you need.  Go through the next upside down door.  The next area contains blue shadow-men which pop up twice as fast as the other shadow-men.  It doesn't help that there are green cyclops roaming around as well.  The second or third one you encounter has a medicine bottle.  This area has some tough spots where the enemies will try to surround you, so move quickly.  The next door is the Captain Dragon's lair.







The Captain Dragon is a little more difficult than the previous ones, so you'll have to have quick reactions.  He begins by bouncing at you and he throws hooks that bounce on the floor in a wide arc.  Try to stay under the ark and then back up a little bit.  The dragon will bounce right in front of you.  Jump up and strike at his head.  He will then bounce away and throw another set of hooks.  Repeat until the dragon is defeated. 











The dragon spirit afterward will throw money bags out, so make sure you dodge away from it and grab all the bags you can.  It adds up to about 1,000 gold pieces!  After the dragon spirit turns you into Lion-man, you will be released from the top of the ship above ground at the end of the tropical area. 










Just head right into the hut at the end of the path.  In this shop that you bought the Goblin Mail, you can now purchase the Master Shield for 1,980 gold.  Equip it for a huge increase in defense.  In Lion-man form you can strike the breakable block with your sword, which will reveal another "?" block.  The block reveals another door on the left that will lead you back to the town.  Time to get your password!
