Second Mission
The MUMMY Dragon


Once you are back in the town, heal up at the hospital on the left side of town if need be.  Buy any extra equipment you didn't get before and head for the tower door (with the key hole) in the center of town.  Now that you've obtained a key, push up to open the door and go inside.  Use the spring block to bounce up to the next screen and enter the door.  You'll find yourself above the town.  Luckily if you fall, you don't lose any health in this game.  :)  Hop over to the door on the right and push through.You'll now find yourself in a desert area.  Make your way left (we'll go to the right later on).  Your first major problem will be the ant-lions throwing fireballs out of pits.  There's no way to kill them at the moment (unless you use your attack items), so try to time your jumps in between their fireball shots.  You might want to  accidentally fall through the pit the crabs inhabit, because there is a treasure chest at the far left side of the water area you fall into.  The chest contains coins, fireballs, a charm stone, a small heart and a medicine bottle.  There will be spring blocks to send you back to the surface.  Just make sure you don't come back down on the ant-lion again!  Make your way through another similar area, this time with blue ant-lions (watch out, they hit hard!).




Eventually you will make your way to the pyramid.  Jump and shoot the smog out of the sky to get rid of the annoyance.  Continue left and avoid   falling into the wells for now.  Begin climbing the pyramid's outer wall.  You'll see that you can climb all the way over to the other side of the pyramid.  At the bottom of the left side of the pyramid there will be a goblin throwing spears.  You'll have to act quickly to jump and then shoot him with fire to avoid damage.  Push open the door in the center of the sphynx.  Inside you'll obtain the third heart container!  We'll come back to this area later on when we are able to break those gold bricks with the Thunder Saber because there are tons of treasure chests at the bottom of this room.






Head back to the two brick wells you passed by on the right side of the pyramid.  Hop into the taller well (the first one will just spring you back up again.).  When you land, you'll see a door.  This is the door that will spring you back out of the pyramid, so pass it up for now.  You can't kill the statues shooting fireballs, so just dodge their attacks and continue on.  Kill anything else in your way and use the spring blocks you come to to vault you up to the next floor.  Continue left (the door is a hospital if you need it), bounce up to the next floor, hop over the spring board and open the chest for a key.  Use that same spring board and you'll find yourself at the top of the pyramid at a door with a key hole.  Open the door and you'll be in the depths of the pyramid.





Continue going left, killing the red and green toads along the way.  Use tornadoes to kill them before they leap up on the platforms you are on.  Be careful, they are quick.  The next area has a bunch of spring boards.  If you can't kill the goblins, just get by them as best you can.  Keep going left.  Try to hop from platform to platform because there is a hidden trap pit at the far left end of the area.  It's completely optional to jump over the pit, but the treasure you find is quite nice if you make it.  You'll know where it is because there will be a statue shooting fireballs at head level ahead.  Jump to the next platform in between the fireball shots and walk to the left through the wall.  You'll suddenly be in a room with a treasure chest.  The chest contains coins, a coin bag, a large heart and a medicine bottle.  Exit via the door and you will automatically fall through the trap pit.  Walk to the left and you will fall through the blocks in the floor to the door in the center.





Walk through the door and you will come face to face with the Mummy Dragon.  When the Mummy Dragon charges at you while close to the bottom of the screen, jump/breath fire into its face, three times.  Duck as the dragon flies overhead.  Stay under the dragon until it finishes breathing clovers at you.  When the dragon comes back down to the ground, repeat this process until it is defeated.  Make sure you dodge the blue spirit until you can get as much gold as possible.  Once the blue fame touches you, you will be turned into Mouse Man.  Now you can jump on the checkered colored blocks and "cling" to them, making certain areas accessible now.  You have to jump onto the block to get him to stick.  You'll know you have it when you can walk up the walls and onto the ceilings.





Head down a floor and grab an extra key from the chest (just in case).  Go past the hospital and down the well.  Once you are past the goblin, jump to the left to cling to the floor under you.  Mouse-man should be in a constant run while standing still (this is how you can tell you are clinging to the blocks).  When you go all the way left, you should be able to cling upside down on the ceiling of the lower floor.  Go all the way to the right while on the ceiling and through the small opening to a door.  The chest in this room will give you some money bags, charm stones and a large heart.  Equip the Mithril Armor (more charm points to buy the Dancing Shield) and go into the shop.  Purchase the Dancing Shield, then re-equip the Goblin Mail and then the Dancing Shield.

The final door is a return room.  Once you are finished, go into the return room and take the door on the right back to town.  Time to write down your password!
