Necropolis Creatures
Necopolis units all enjoy a certain advantage: They are unaffected by morale. Thus they can't suffer from bad morale, but don't benefit from good morale either. The Necropolis has some very good and strong creatures, although the cash efficency isn't too hot.
Weiila sez: OK, these are the guys who got bored of the inferno and decided to come back to "life" and have some more fun. They suck... blood. And there are several spacial abilities that these guys will bring into battle, so watch it!
Name | Cost | | Attack | Defense | Speed | Shots | Image | Building | Damage | Health | Combat Speed | Movement Type | Special Abilities |
Upg. Name | Upg. Cost | Upg. Attack | Upg. Defense | Upg. Speed | Upg. Shots | Upg. Image | Upg. Building | Upg. Damage | Upg. Health | Upg. Combat Speed | Upg. Movement Type | Upg. Special Abilities | Comments |
Skeleton | 60 Gold | | 5 | 4 | Extra Slow | N/A | | | 1-3 | 6 | 4 | Ground | Unaffected by morale. |
Skeleton Warrior | 70 Gold | 6 | 6 | Upg. Speed | Slow | | | 1-3 | 6 | 5 | Ground | Unaffected by morale. | Skeletons are cool Level 1 troops. Their stats are pretty good, and they can be produced in numbers like you couldn't believe. Not through towns, but through Necromancy and all of the Necromancy boosters. Skeleton Warriors are even cooler, and they're still pretty easy to mass up. But though, from what I heard, you can't raise Skeleton Warriors... I have heard you can somehow but I'm not sure.
Weiila sez: And when they die they look like they’re shouting a last prayer to the heavens. Ain’t that strange? |
Walking Dead | 100 Gold | | 5 | 5 | Very Slow | N/A | | | 2-3 | 15 | 3 | Ground | Unaffected by morale. |
Zombie | 125 Gold | 5 | 5 | Extra Slow | N/A | | | 2-3 | 20 | 4 | Ground | Unaffected by morale, 20% chance to Disease on a melee attack. | Bah. These frankly suck. They're nice as damage absorbers, but you can do better honestly. They're too slow and weak for extended use.
Weiila sez: They weren’t good in the second HoM&M game either, and they didn’t get any better here. Just uglier and lost the flies. Don’t look too closely on their broken leg, it’s disgusting. |
Wight | 200 Gold | | 7 | 7 | Slow | N/A | | | 3-5 | 18 | 5 | Flying | Unaffected by morale, Regenerates all health lost at the beginning of the turn for injured unit. |
Wraith | 230 Gold | 7 | 7 | Extra Swift | N/A | | | 3-5 | 18 | 7 | Flying | Unaffected by morale, Regenerates all health lost at the beginning of the turn for injured unit, Drains 2 SP per round from enemy hero. | Meh. Wights don't look too bad, if the regeneration is sort of useless. But Wraiths get a crappy upgrade. Just a bit of speed and the ability to drain a bit of SP per turn. Which is only good in extended battles or on low level might heroes with spells. Then it's pointless if your opponent has any sort of brains. You can pass |
Vampire | 360 Gold | | 10 | 9 | Swift | N/A | | | 5-8 | 30 | 6 | Flying | Unaffected by morale, Cannot be counterattacked. |
Vampire Lord | 500 Gold | 10 | 10 | Extra Swift | N/A | | | 5-8 | 40 | 9 | Upg. Flying | Unaffected by morale, Cannot be counterattacked, Drains life equal to damage inflicted on a melee attack and can resurrect dead Vampire Lords in that stack with drained life. | Vampires suck (pardon the pun), but Vampire Lords just simply ROCK. No question about it. A nice health and speed upgrade, not to mention their health draining attacks mean that Vampire Lords are IMMENSELY durable.
Weiila sez: And with health draining attacks, that means that when sucking the blood of enemies (but how the heck does that work on Golems and other undead troops?) dead Vampire Lords will come back to life. So watch it if you’re fighting them or it’ll never end well. |
Lich | 550 Gold | | 13 | 10 | Swift | 12 | | | 11-13 | 30 | 6 | Ground | Unaffected by morale, Ranged area attack (All adjacent non-undead units). |
Power Lich | 600 Gold | 13 | 10 | Extra Speed | 24 | | | 11-15 | 40 | 7 | Ground | Unaffected by morale, Ranged area attack (All adjacent non-undead units). | Liches and Power Liches are considered one of the best ranged units out there. If you have lots of undead, then they are an excellent addition, since they really won't hurt your units. Of course, they're less effective on enemy undead, so you may want to consider that. |
Black Knight | 1200 Gold | | 16 | 16 | Extra Swift | N/A | | | 15-30 | 120 | 7 | Ground | Unaffected by morale, 20% chance to curse on a melee attack. |
Dread Knight | 1500 Gold | 18 | 18 | Ultra Swift | N/A | | | 15-30 | 120 | 9 | Ground | Unaffected by morale, 20% chance to curse on a melee attack. 20% chance to deal double damage. | Black Knights are cool, good damage, nice durability, but Dread Knights ROCK. Get them in your army and I doubt you will be disappointed.
Weiila sez: What are you guys doing here, get back to Lord of the Rings! Oh, you’re not them? Dang, my bad. |
Bone Dragon | 1800 Gold | | 17 | 15 | Ultra Swift | N/A | | | 25-50 | 150 | 9 | Flying | Unaffected by morale, lowers enemy morale by 1. |
Ghost Dragon | 3000 Gold + 1 Mercury | 18 | 17 | Ultra Quick | N/A | | | 25-50 | 200 | 14 | Flying | Unaffected by morale, lowers enemy morale by 1, 20% chance to age a unit on a melee attack.
| Bone and Ghost Dragons are on the weaker side of the Level 7 units, but the aging that Ghost Dragons cause is interesting. It halves the health of ALL units in a stack, making them easy prey for follow up attacks. Of course, it's easily cured, but your opponent might not know. I know I didn't. Try it on an Archangel unit, and Arch Devils with Slayer... and whoa.
Weiila sez: You know, I actually find these guys kinda cute. Just look at the tip of their tail when they fly, it moves adorably strange.
