Mint's Magic

You will automatically gain all the Magic Colors as you progress through the game but you will have to do some searching for the remaining Magic Types. If you don't find all the extra magic types, don't worry about it. You can still beat the game without them... but it sure as hell helps to have the others. ^_^ Besides, if you decide to play through the game a second time using the stats of Mint from the completed profile, you can obtain the missing magic colors and types then.

LEGEND
/\ Triangle button
Short range - Immediate vicinity of Mint. Within striking distance of weapon.
Mid range - Just beyond striking distance of Mint.
Long range - Far away from Mint.

MINT'S MAGIC POWER CHART
White
Normal - Vulcan, 1MP, /\ Rapid Fire
Effect: Successive white balls are shot.
Range: Long
Wide - Spread, 4MP, /\ 5 Way Shot
Effect: 5 balls shoots out in an arc.
Range: Mid
Power - Arrow, 4MP, /\ Piercing Shot
Effect: Lance-like magic.
Range: Long
Circle - Satellite, 10MP, /\ Orbit Shot
Effect: Two diamond shapes orbit around Mint while they fire white normal magic at enemies.
Range: Short (orbiting shield) and Long (regular white balls)

Blue
Normal - Droplets, 2MP, /\ Raindrops
Effect: Multiple bubbles shoot out.
Range: Mid
Wide - Cutter, 4MP, /\ Triple Blades
Effect: 3 crescent shapes fan out from you at an arc.
Range: Mid
Power - Ripple, 4MP, /\ Wave Shot
Effect: Circular rings like Gargoyle Sonic Wave attack.
Range: Long
Circle - Crystal, 6MP, /\ Diamond
Effect: A spiked diamond in front of you acting like a shield.
Range: Short
Super - Icicle, 4MP, /\ Drop Ice
Effect: Giant icicles drop down in front of you randomly.

Hyper - Restore, 80MP min (if more than 80, will use up all your MP!),

Effect: Restores your HP.

Red
Normal - Burner, 2MP, /\ Flame
Effect: Flame thrower-like magic.

Wide - Bullet, 4MP, /\ Low Flame
Effect: Balls of fire shoot out and stays in field for awhile before dyin out.

Power - Flare, 6MP, /\ Fireball
Effect: One fire ball shoots out and enlarges as it moves away from you.
Range: Long
Circle - Delta, 6MP, /\ Triple Flame
Effect: 3 diamond shaped flames shoot forward in circular motion.
Range: Long
Super - Napalm, 6MP, /\ Wildfire
Effect: 5-way fireball attack in the form of an arc.
Range: Long
Hyper - Fire Heart, 80MP min (if more than 80, will use up all your MP!),
/\ Fire Coat
Effect: Mint becomes surrounded by flame and may be used like shield to run over enemies.
Range: Short

Green
Normal - Wave, 3MP, /\ Wind
Effect: Crescent waves shot one after another.
Range: Long
Wide - Typhoon, 2MP, /\ Whirlwind
Effect: Cone shaped attack that widens at the enemies side.
Range: Mid
Power - Gale, 3MP, /\ Low Wind
Effect: Triangular waves that travel on the floor one after another.
Range: Long
Circle - Cyclone, 3MP, /\ High Wind
Effect: Circular attacks that move up on a column. Much like Jinn's Tornado magic.
Range: Short
Super - Impulse, 6MP, /\ Circle
Effect: A circular wave attack originating from you and moves outwards. Much like Psycho Masters attack except your's wind, not flame.

Hyper - Nightengale, 80MP min (if more than 80, will use up all your MP!),

Effect: Green mist tails you and you can't be hurt by enemies.

Black
Normal - Bomb, 5MP, /\ Blow Up Rocks
Effect: Shoot out bombs successively.
Range: Mid
Wide - Dark Mist, 6MP, /\ Black Smoke
Effect: Shoot out and arc of black smoke.
Range: Mid
Power - Graviton, 6MP, /\ Black Ball
Effect: Black electric ball that enlarges as it moves away from you.
Range: Long
Circle - Drill, 6MP, /\ Big Drill
Effect: Small cone-shaped magic. Looks like a drill.
Range: Short
Super - Dynamite, 10MP, /\ Explosion
Effect: Big explosion around you similar to Trap Master's attack.
Range: Short
Hyper - Shadow Strike, 50MP, /\ Deadly Dash
Effect: You jump and dash forward, killing anything in your path. You'll darken and flash when this magic is used.
Range: Mid

Yellow
Normal - Spark, 5MP, /\ Chase Enemy
Effect: String of lightning that chases enemy.
Range: Mid
Wide - Cracker, 6MP, /\ Double Shot
Effect: Double rows of lightning balls shoot forward.
Range: Long
Power - Bolt, 10MP, /\ Lightening
Effect: Pillar of lightning.
Range: Mid
Circle - Force, 8MP, /\ Loop
Effect: Ring of lightning at mid-range circle around you.
Range: Mid
Super - Trine, 8MP, /\ Triple Chase
Effect: 3 lightning starings chase enemy.
Range: Mid
Hyper - Final Flash, 100MP min (if more than 100, will use up all your MP!),
/\ Big Burst
Effect: Huge lightning explodes around you.

Cosmos - /\ Hold Barrier /\ Release Fire
Effect: (Hold) Huge diamond shape surrounds you and shields you from attack. (Release) Diamond will shoot above you at an angle.

MAGIC COLORS
Where to Obtain
White
Mint starts with this.
Blue
Mint starts with this.
Red
Mint recieves this after completing Carona Forest and returning to Klaus. Simple.
Green
Mint gains this one after beating the Hexagon and filching it from Belle's prone body in Gamul Forest.
Black
Found in a treasure chest behind boulder on lower level. Jump down before the entrance into mountain and go left.
Yellow
Get this after defeating Gorotan in Mel's Atelier.
Gold
You recieve this one when you reach Valen's Fortress. It only works with Cosmos type.

MAGIC TYPE
Where to Obtain
Normal
Mint starts with this.
Wide
Mint starts out with this.
Power
Found on Skull Beast's body at the bottom of the staircase at Underground Ruins. Can get it after finishing this area.
Super
At Underground Ruins, it's behind the three giant ice blocks along with Rare Wine. Use Red Magic/Normal and have at least 110 MP.
Circle
You need Black Magic Color. In Carona Forest, you will see a rock tucked in an alcove. Use Graviton to blow the rock up. If you're too far, get closer. Jump to the alcove and get Circle Type. Make sure you jump near the edge of the ledge or you'll drop. It's a bit tricky since the view is obscured.
Hyper
After going through the Tower of Maya, go visit Wylaf. He'll give you this if you defeat him completely.
Cosmos
Maya gives this to you just before you fight the Final Boss for a second time. It only works with Gold Magic.
