The game opens up in Mushroom Kingdom where Princess Peach is the victim of a sneak attack. After Toad runs inside the house, walk to the left and to the steaming shower to find Mario.Toad will fill you in on the happenings with Princess Peach and Mario will take off, dragging Luigi with him. Inside the castle, the bros run into Bowser,literally, and you'll be in battle. This is a one on one tutorial fight between Mario and Bowser. Pay close attention so you can learn about timed hits and dodging attacks. Choose Yes to get the tutorial and choose No to skip it

After the battle, Bowser reveals his plans to kidnap Princess Peach, but Toad tells everyone the gas has turned all of Princess Peaches words into explosives! Bowser demands the brothers do something super and says he will take them to BeanBean Kingdom in his famed Koopa Cruiser. You'll end up in a town square. Talk to the man on the same level as you to learn about Action Icons if this is your first time playing. Take the steps to the left and follow the path left until you hit a wall of bushes. Jump on the lightly colored shrub and up to the darker one. Walk all the way south and examine the wall to find "Something Precious"

Walk north while staying on the bush and talk to the man you meet. He will take the item and give you a 1-Up Mushroom. Use the ledge going right to jump across to another ledge with an item box on it. Stand in the shadow and jump to get a Mushroom. Get down and walk north and then right until you see a Koopa Troopa (I think that's what they're called) walking around. Talk to him, reply Yes and choose "Thatta Way". Go south just a bit and use the small ledge to get on the big one. Walk south and hit the box for a Mushroom. Go south and talk to the Toad standing by a Mushroom. Hop up and grab it. When you can, choose "Of Course" and he'll give you a Super Mushroom. Go north and hop onto the center ledge and talk to Luigi who is apparently telling you something about Bowser. Walk north and use the save album. Continue north and you'll get a Suitcase and 100 Coins. Go north once more. Go north until Bowser starts barking at Mario. Due to the lack of his followers, he demands Luigi come along. He tries to escape but gets knocked down. Luigi tries to run away as the Koopa Cruiser takes off, but he's grabbed and taken away high into the sky
