Rue's Walkthrough
 Things to Know:
The left side is a quick overview: what you're supposed to look out for, treasures you may find in the area, what monsters to expect, any bosses you have to fight, and any important information you have to know. Plus pictures.The right side will go into more detail; where exactly to find the treasures, directions (if necessary), tips, and all in all more detailed info. The walkthrough will be sectioned into chapters based on the save game title. Got that? Good. Let's get going! |

Chapter 10: Claire's Shadow Before you move on with the story, power-up at Tonio's and Hobbs. Finish any of the sidequest's I mentioned before if you haven't already. Collect if you want to. In the meantime, finish this last sidequest... Sidequest: The Legendary Items Now that you've got all the Legendary Items - Shield, Sword, and Helmet - it's time to cash in on them. Go to the tavern and talk to Jargen. He'll comment about them. Give him all three. He can now make his special dishes! Just talk to Jargen and a special option is now available called "Today's Special". You need certain monsters coins to have him make his dishes but each will give you stat inceases. He can only cook 10 dishes for you before the Legendary items break. But guess what? You get a Platinum Coin when they do, so it's all cool! Anyways, here's his dishes: 1. Pollywog Souffle - 50 Pollywog Coins - Increase Strength by 2 2. Mushroom Soup - 60 Fungie Coins - Increase Max MP by 10 3. Gudon's Liver Soup - 30 Gudon Coins - Increase Defense by 2 4. Minced Fire Blob - 50 Fire Blob Coins - Increase Max HP by 10 Go talk to Klaus about getting some "wings" to get to the fortress. He'll refer you to Mel. Talk to her and she'll point you to the right direction - Wylaf! Head over to the Raging Mountains... Boss Fight: Trap Master When you get to the second area with the steam, Trap Master will try to stop you. The battle is like before except at a faster rate. Move away from flashing platforms before they explode. Watch out for shadows on platforms as a spike will drop on it. Keep an eye out for where Trap Master will land and hit him as much as you can. Keep moving around till you defeat him. Move on and recover your HP if you need to before you get to the following area... Boss Fight: Mode Master Mode Master will imitate you. She will take on your form and change to various monsters, mainly - Bubba, Behemoth, and Gargoyle. Hit her as much as you can while she's you. Avoid her attacks while she's in the other forms but land in some hits when her defenses are down. Be patient and she'll eventually fall. Recover your HP and go see Wylaf. He'll give you the ability to turn to him but you may do so only once... Now that you're back in town, get ready for the last battle! Chapter 12: Soar into Battle |
