On the way back to Giant, stop at Decatas. You can enlist the (pretty!) nurse Jill. |
Now, check the gate by the bridge south of Winds. We need a key? It's buried in Giant, huh? Time to visit Morgan's house. He doesn't appear to be home. Well, he's just hiding. Try walking into the right wall. |
He found a strange key, and asks if you need it. Of course you do! |
Return to the Win-Shrine, and put the key in the strange thing at the top. |
The bridge is lowered. |
If you take the upper route at the fork, you'll find the second Star Shrine. This is the only HP/MP recovery in the area. As with the last Star Shrine, remember this place. |
Head just a bit to the south, and you'll find another structure. Enter and you will find the walls lined with gold! |
Despite his poor grasp of the English language, |
he is a chemist. And his name is Kaja. |
Kaja changed himself to gold somehow. As he happens to block the road, you better help him. To do that, he needs you to go to the southern forest, and find a monster named Sidon. |
To find the forest, go to the southwest. The forest is the trees with ponds on three sides. (or just look for location 16 on the world map) |
This forest is very confusing. Know that the forest wraps on the top and bottom ends. If you get stuck, check out the solution on the maps page. |
Eventually, you'll find Sidon wandering around in the center of the forest. He's going to use Coma, which can put a member to sleep. You can cure that by using the Scratcher. During the fight, have Ray fight while Tina uses Slow to lower Sidon's defence and speed. She should use Fast to raise her own defence speed. If she has Fast 2, use it to boost Ray as well.
HP - 460 MP - 65535 Power - 74 Guard - 83 Speed - 32 1500 Exp. |
You'll receive Sidon's mustache. |
Now, return to Kaja with the mustache. |
He will swing the mustache, returning to normal. |
Kaja will give you 2000 Gold, and directions. |
This is a special bed. Unlike regular beds, you will recover MP as well as HP. Good, since Bonzley has no inn. Stock up on Calm-Herb while you're in town, too. |
If you travel southwest, you'll encounter a shrine. |
More info you might want to remember for later. |
Your next destination is the Alpin Shrine. The only thing of note for Kustera is a Moon-Drop. |
The cave is pretty straight-forward. Be sure to get the other Moon-Drop. |
Soon enough, you will encounter Garados. |
During the fight, you should equip fur coats to reduce the damage of Garados' Snowstorm attack. It won't protect from Freeze 2, though. You'll also need to use lots of Calm-Herb to heal Mute and Dazed condition. He also uses Coma 3, so have the Scratcher ready.
HP: 560 MP: 128 Power: 76 Guard: 91 Speed: 39 EP: 2339 |
Garados, defeated. |
Now that you've defeated Garados, the snow covering Bonzley will melt. |
Cody goes for the gold! |
Now, has anybody else you know been turned to gold? That's right. |
Yerp. |
Kaja with the moustache. |
Kaja can de-gold Cody, but can't change him back to human. He suggests visiting a warrior on the south coast. |
Meet Shark at the house by the mysterious cove. |
He suggests you train more, and check out the shrine at Old Hill. |
Say your goodbyes to the lion form of Cody. |
Human Cody joins your party. |
Since your town is growing so much, you'll be asked to name it. |
You can think up a better name, can't you? |
Bosen appears again. |
Believe in the man from out of nowhere. |
