Upgrading Buildings

 Gotz's place is located south of your farm, and he'll do all of the upgrades to the buildings on your farm. However, he'll need a certain amount of wood along with money to do each job. To get wood, chop small logs and tree stumps with your axe. To check how much lumber you have in total, press Select and go down on the first screen. Or talk to the lumber bin located near your horse stable. And if you're rich and lazy, you could buy a single piece of lumber from Gotz for 50 G. That's a total rip-off, though.

Just go to his house and talk to him from across the counter. He shop is open between 11am and 4pm everyday except Saturday. DON'T TRUST THIS SCHEDULE. It's been times in which I'm outside at 1pm on the days he's open, but he's outside looking at tree stumps I already chopped. Anyways… Gotz can do anything from extending your house or barns to redesigning your mailbox or doghouse. He'll take around 3 days to finish an extension.

If you, for some reason, have 100,000,000 G lying around, you could have Gotz build you a vacation house in the empty lot located in Mineral Town. It's like a home away… actually, down the street from home. Without cheating, it took people I know YEARS to gather this much money. And I'm not talking about 2 or 3 years. (Game years that is.)

One final thing: if you have 999 pieces of wood collected, Gotz will then have Golden Lumber for sale. Don't ask why. For more info on Golden Lumber, refer to the Events section.
