Virtuous Towns

Virtuous towns are towns that are based on one of the virtues.  These towns allow you to pick up your companions, purchase weapons and armor and allow you to recover your hp/mp and save your game by staying in the inn.  Some towns also contain Healers, as well as Reagent Sellers.  Most towns will usually contain their corresponding rune within them.

  • This is the starting town of the Mage, as well as the place you can pick up Mariah.
  • The Moongate is located a little ways to the west across the small bridge.
  • The Rune of Honesty can be found in this town.
  • Spells Unlimited is located in this town.  You can have spells scribed into your Spell Book here when you learn a new recipe.
  • There is an Inn located here.
  • There is a Healer located here.
  • There is a Reagent seller located here.
  • A person at the Reagent seller will give you the Recipe for Sleep.
  • After a very lengthy process of talking to certain people, Basil will tell you to search at 149,46 at 2 New Moons to find Fungus.

  • This is the starting town for the Bard, as well as the place where you can pick up Iolo.
  • The Moongate is located a small distance to the east, before the bridge.
  • The Rune of Compassion is located in this town.
  • There is an Armor Shop located here.
  • There is a Weapon Shop located here.
  • There is an Inn located here.
  • There is a Healer located here.
  • Someone will tell you that the stone of Compassion is yellow.
  • Someone will tell you that the shrine of Compassion is east across 2 bridges.

JHELOM

  • The MoonGate is located to the east of Jhelom.
  • The Rune of Valor is located here.
  • The Shrine of Valor is located on a small island just south of Jhelom.
  • There is an Armor Shop located here.
  • There is a Weapon Shop located here.
  • There is an Inn located here.
  • There is a Healer located here.
  • Someone tells you about a Man in Black, speaks of Tremors, and looking for Manroot.

  • This is the starting town for the Druid, as well as the place where you can pick up Janna.
  • The Moongate is located a little ways north-west of Yew in the small opening.
  • The Rune of Justice is located here.
  • There is an Inn located here.
  • There is a Healer located here.
  • Someone here tells you the recipe for Squish.
  • Someone tells you that someone in the prison knows where the Rune of Justice is.
  • Someone tells you that the Shrine of Justice is on the cape north of Yew and to go to the dungeon Wrong to find the Green Stone of Justice.
  • After a lengthy process of talking to certain people, Calumny tells you to search at 54,182 for Manroot.

  • This is the starting town for the Tinker, as well as the place where you can pick up Julius.
  • The Moongate is located to the east of Minoc, just beyond the mountains.
  • The Rune of Sacrifice is located here.
  • Waiting for the Moongate to open at 2 Full Moons will take you to the Shrine of Spirituality.
  • There is a Weapon Shop located here.
  • There is an Inn located here.
  • Someone tells you that the Orange Stone of Sacrifice can be found in the Dungeon Covetous.
  • Someone tells you that the Shrine of Sacrifice is to the east of Minoc (actually, south-east'ish).
  • Zircon the Smith tells you to bring the Scale to him so he can make a weapon for you (+2 Axe).

TRINSIC

  • Sailor in pub tells you if you don't have a sextant, tip the pub owner in Jhelom well.
  • Someone tells you that the stone of Honor is found in the dungeon Shame.
  • Someone tells you that Honor is made from Truth & Courage.

SKARA

  • This is the starting town for the Ranger, as well as the place where you can pick up Shamino.
  • The Moongate is located just slightly north-east of Skara Brae.
  • There is an Inn located here.
  • There is a Reagent Seller here.
  • Someone tells you that the White Stone of Spirituality is missing from the Dungeon Hythloth.
  • Someone tells you that the rune, as well as the stone, are missing.
  • Someone (The ankh in the center of town actually) tells you to travel the Gate during 2 Full Moons.
  • Someone (a ghost in the inn.. go back and forth up and down the stairs until he appears) tells you that the White Stone is located in a mountain range beyond the reach of man.
  • Give the begger in the upper part of town money, and he will tell you of a Man in Black, speaks of Tremors, and mentions Sulferous Ash.
